Muri Legali (Legal Walls) is a project of the Municipality of Prato, created by the Osservatorio Politiche Giovanili and managed by Politiche Giovanili of The Municipality of Prato.

The Municipality of Prato makes part of the association created by the Municipality of Turin called MurArte. This project makes available some city walls for the local street artists. Many other cities such as Bolzano, Scandicci (Fi) and Orbassano (To), also take part in the project MurArte.

The aim of the initiative is mostly educational: giving the chance to young people to give vent to their creativity and teach them how to respect public and private properties.
The project gives the chance to create graffiti on suitable walls that the Municipality considers available for the purpose.

Street artists, with their 'writer card' and an authorization letter by the Municipality, will be able to create graffiti on the assigned wall within a period of six months.

Street artists have to follow a regulation made of nine points.
